Who is responsible

Locos Rentals SL, identified below, is the controller of personal data collected through this website. Contact locosrentals@gmail.com for privacy questions or to exercise your rights.

Booking and service requests

We process the name, contact details, selected items, dates, payment status, pickup or delivery information and notes you provide to arrange and perform rentals and respond to requests. Property and keyholding requests may also contain property details, owner or guest contact information and documents you submit. For the personal data of the person requesting or contracting the service, the legal basis is taking steps at that person's request before a contract and performing their contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Required fields are needed to deal with that request; optional fields are identified in the form. Do not put health information, passwords or card numbers in free-text notes.

Other purposes and legal bases

We retain records required for tax, accounting and other legal duties under Article 6(1)(c). We process limited technical information and relevant booking records to protect the service, prevent fraud and handle disputes under Article 6(1)(f), balancing those interests against your rights. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Optional site analytics and Google Ads measurement depend on your consent under Article 6(1)(a). You can refuse or withdraw that consent without affecting your booking. Accepting rental terms does not consent to advertising.

Who receives information

Authorised staff and service providers receive only information needed for their roles. These include our website/server hosting, Google email services for booking and customer correspondence, and Stripe for online payments. Stripe receives payment details directly; we receive payment references and status rather than the full card number. Google receives advertising measurement information only when you allow that purpose. A referring rental partner or property host may receive information necessary for the booking you arrange through them. Information may be provided to advisers or authorities where needed for legal obligations or claims. The embedded Google Map loads only after you select “Show map”. Google then receives your IP address and browser information and may use cookies or similar storage. You can remove the embedded map with “Hide map”. External Google Maps and WhatsApp links open those providers’ services.

Processing outside the EEA

For our Spanish Stripe account, the published data-processing agreement identifies Stripe Payments Europe, Limited. Stripe acts as an independent controller for some payment purposes and a processor for others, and its agreement describes the applicable transfer safeguards. Google Ireland Limited is Google’s controller for European Google Ads measurement data under its controller-controller terms. Google states that qualifying transfers to certified US entities use the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and describes standard contractual clauses for transfers not covered by an adequacy decision. Google email services also process correspondence internationally under their applicable terms. The links below explain these providers’ roles and transfer frameworks; contact us for information about arrangements relevant to your data.

Retention

Booking and correspondence records are retained for managing the service and, afterwards, for applicable accounting, tax and legal-claim requirements. The period depends on the record and any open complaint or legal obligation; you may ask us about your specific records. Aggregate site-analytics counts are retained for up to 90 days. Cookie choices expire after 180 days. Browser session markers are described in the Cookie Policy. A deletion request does not require deletion of records that must still be kept by law.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and, where applicable, data portability; you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier lawful processing. Write to locosrentals@gmail.com and describe your request. We may request proportionate information to verify identity. We normally respond within one month; any lawful extension will be explained. You can complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos at aepd.es. We do not use solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Optional analytics and advertising

With analytics consent, we count booking stages by day and language to find problems in the booking process. These aggregate events contain no name, email, booking number or advertising click ID. With advertising consent, Google Ads receives conversion information such as a transaction reference, value, currency and technical/ad-attribution information. Advertising personalisation is disabled in our tag configuration. See the Cookie Policy and use Cookie settings to choose either purpose separately.

Information received from owners or partners

When a property owner or booking partner gives us information about you, the source is that owner or partner. The information may include your name, contact details, arrival/departure dates, party size and service requests. It is used to coordinate the booking or service, and access is limited to the people who need it. The owner or partner must provide appropriate privacy information before sharing it. You can contact us to identify the source, understand the roles in your particular arrangement or exercise your rights. External availability-calendar exports contain reserved dates rather than guest names.
